BOWLING.
MEETING OF DELEGATES. ELECTING A> NEW COUNCIL. The delegates to every bowling centre in the North Island will meet this week, to vote for the seven men who are to represent the North Island on the New Zealand Bowling Council during the. coming year, nine having been nominated. Seven of the nine have been members of the council during the past year, the new nominees being Mr. 1). G. Robertson (Gisborne Centre) and Mr. C. H. Critchley (East Coast Centre). As a little "new blood" is usually considered desirable in most organisations, it is likely that both of them will receive a: fair share of the votes that are cast to-night, even though only a small proportion of the delegates know them personally. Mr. Robertson is an experienced officer in the Lands and Survey Department, and a member of the Gisborne Bowling Club, which boasts a membership of 99. He proved his administrative capacity during his presidency of the local centre for three years, and his keen interest in the sport by subsequently taking the secretaryship, in which position he is now at the end of his third year. The Gisborne Centre comprises nine clubs, with a total membership of 501. CLUB GAMES. EPSOM GREEN. Ordinary Draw.—-Simpson, Brown, Parsons, jun., Foublster 21, v. Hendry, A.
