LADIES' ASSOCIATION.
NEW ZEALAND TOURNAMENT
At a full meeting of the executive of the Auckland Ladies' Hockey Association it was decided not to apply for the New Zealand tourney for Auckland city for 1933, but to support the Rotorua Association should it make application. Support will be given to the arranging of a conference of associations' delegates to be held in Wellington later in the season, provided sucli conference promised to be a representative one. Waikato, Waipa and Piako Associations were granted affiliation for 1933, with Miss A. Twiname as delegate for Waipa. The official welcome to visiting country players will be held on Tuesday, June 20, at 10.3 C a.m. at the Tudor Tearooms, at the kind invitation of Messrs. Milne and Choyce, and special morning tea for managers and chaperones at Messrs. John Court's roof garden tearooms later in the week, at their kind invitation. Mention was made of the present visit of Miss Edith Thompson, C.8.E., expresident of the All-England Women's Hockey Association, and arrangements were made to enable Miss Thompson to visit grounds to witness local activities. It was decided to accept offered games with the New South Wales ladies' team passing through Auckland to Suva at the end of June.
GAMES IN THE PROVINCE. RODNEY. Doma Vallev 7, beat Matakana 4. Wnrkworth 4, beat Port Albert 1. Kaipara Flats 4, beat Wellsford 1. The leadinjr teams are Dome Valley, Port Albert and Wnrkworth, with S, 7 and G points respectively. The Ladles' Association's results are:—• Matakana C. bent Kaipara Flats 0; Port Albert 3. beat Wellsford 0. Matakana is still leading, unbeaten.
