ELUSIVE BIRD.
COCK PHEASANT IN OFFICE. {By 'Telegraph.—-Own Correspondent) TAURAN-GA, this day. A singular incident occurred in a local office a few days ago. A clerk was sitting at a desk about dusk when he heard a slight scratching noise on the linoleum. On looking over the counter he saw, to his amazement, a fine cock pheasant walking about. He attempted to capture the bird, but it took flight and disappeared.
