COINTRUCTION WORK BEGUN. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, Wednesday. In preparation for the erection of the National Museum and Art Gallery on Mount Cook good progress is being made with the work of removing 4000 cubic yards of clay on a line of what will be the main frontage. This work is being done by manual labour. Some weeks will pass before the first work above ground can be started. The group of buildings will take two or three years to complete.
