A five-roomed house at Marshland, owned by Mr. Ernest C'rozier, was destroyed by lire at 11 o'clock last evening. Tho only occupant, Mrs. M. Crozier, aged 71, mother of the owner, had difficulty in making her escape. She was crawling out on her hands and knees when a boy named Jackson, who lives in a wharo nearby, noticed her plight and went to her assistance. The fire is believed to be of incendiary origin, as a suspicious lire occurred on the previous Sunday on the same farm, destroying a cowshed, garage and haystack.' The owner was absent at the time.
