H e J plained that kite-flying was a mania at Devonport, where it had been Teported that five gross of kites had been distributed by one person alone. All the boroughs should co-operate in passhw : by-laws, preventing kite-flying. ■ Mr. J. Guiniven said he had .proposed a by-law for the Takapuna Boroiieh Council prohibiting kite-flying, but hid received no support. Mr. A. Day considered that a placaM should be placed in a prominent position in all schools warning boys of the danger of their kites becoming entangled °jn electric wires. It was decided to send a letter to all schools in the board's districts, askiii» the teachers to warn their classes of the dangers.
