MAYORAL CHAIN.
TO COMMEMORATE JTJBELEE,
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) TAURANGA, this day. fo commemorate the jubilee of the borough last year, it was decided to procure a Mayoral chain. The chain is now to hand, having the names of previous Mayors engraved on various links. At the installation of the Mayor-elect, Mr. A. F. Tunks, last night, Councillor T. M. Bloor invested the retiring Mayor, Mr. B. C. Bobbins, with the chair, and Mr. Robins then transferred it to Mr. Tunks. The retiring Mayor, therefore, lias the honour of being the first to wear the chain, although for a very brief period.
