CHURCH MEETINGS.
ST. MICHAEL'S, BAYS WATER.
The vicar, the Rev. W. J. Piggot, presided over the annual general meeting of parishioners of St. Michael's and All Angels' in the parish hall on Monday.
The warden's report and statement of accounts showed that all liabilities had been met during the year, which concluded with a credit balance of 9/1. There was a falling off in offertories of some £I' 2 and also in donations, this being partially offset by an increase of £20 in the funds raised by the women's guild. The treasurer urged the parishioners to make a united effort to raise sufficient funds to pay the vicar a more fitting stipend.
The vicar expressed his thanks for the loyal support of his church officers, MessrsEaton, Curry, White, Buckley, vestrymen, the organist. Mr. W. Sharp, the women's guild and also the Sunday school superintendent, Mr. G. Day (who has completed 21 years in charge!, and his band of teachers. The Sunday school now numbers 100.
The following officers were appointed: — Vicar's warden. Mr. ,T. Sharp; people's warden, Mr. E. Curry; vestry, Messrs. TViy. Eaton, Ball, Robinson. Sussex and W. Sharp; hon. secretary and treasurer, Mr. J. Sharp; hon. auditor, Mr. K- Wallace.
