MOTORIST FINED £5.

"This is a very mild case. He was not very had and he did not drive the car," said Detective-Sergeant McHugh about George A, Miller, who appeared in the Police Court this morning on a charge of being in a state of intoxication while in.charge of his car yesterday afternoon. Mr. Allan Moody, who appeared for Miller, said he wa« a most responsible citizen. One or two drinks may have affected his judgment. In imposing a fine of £5, the magistrate remarked that although Miller was not in his car at the time, he was technically in charge.
