Mr. W. Ogier, of the Otaki Post Office, , has been appointed' postmaster at Blackball. Dr. T. McKibbin, director of public hygiene, arrived in Auckland from Wellington yesterday. Mr. A. D. Baggs, A.M.1.E.E., A.I.R.E-i telegraph engineer, Wellington, has received notice of his transfer to Auckland. Mr. A. H.. Champion, manager of the Colonial Sugar Refining Company at j Chelsea, will leave to-night for Wcl- / lington on business. J Mr. T. Roma in, of the North IslancV Motor Union Mutual Insurance Company, has returned to Wellington aftjer a visit to Sydney. / ' Captain K. S. Lewis, marine superintendent in Auckland for the Spiaw, Savill and Albion Company, has returned . to Auckland from Wellington. 1 Mr. G. A. Pascoe, manager of) the engineering works cf Anderson's, Ltd., Christchurch, lias been appointed cJinirman of the Development of Industries Committee. \ Adjutant A. G. Montgomery, of the Salvation Army, Wellington, left Auckland by the Niagara yesterday for Vancouver. After five months' sojourn in the United States and Canada, he will return to the Dominion. Mr. Frost, a representative of the British Broadcasting Corporation, will arrive in Auckland on 10 in the course of a tour of the Empire, for the purpose of investigating the reception of the new short-wave service from Davcntry.
