WHEAT CONFERENCE.

League Moves for International

Parley.

AMERICA AGREEABLE.

(Received 11.30 a.m.) WASHINGTON, April 28. The Government has informed the League of Nations of its willingness to be represented at an international wheat conference about the middle of May, probably in Geneva. This expression was sent following the receipt of an inquiry from the League as to the United States attitude toward such an idea. Similar communications were sent by the League to Canada, Argentina and Australia.

The announcement was made here as President Roosevelt entered upon a thorough discussion with Mr. R. B. Bennett (Canada) at the White House of possible means of improving the world wheat situation.
