STUDENTS IN WELLINGTON.

POLICE WITHHOLD PERMIT,

WELLINGTON', Friday

In spite of the fact that the Wellington City Council gave permission to Victoria University College students to conduct a capping procession through the city streets on May 5, the police have not granted similar permission. It is stated that the police object to any procession in the city, and there ;s little likelihood of the students taking part in the usual frolics.
