WATER FOR MANGERE.

COMPLETION OP SCHEME.

The new water supply service for the Mangere riding is now functioning in all areas, and this afternoon members of the Manukau County Council, accompanied by their friends, the representatives of the two ratepayers' associations in the riding, and Mr. W. W. Massey, M.P., made an official inspection of the plant. Later they had afternoon tea at the" Mangere East Hall. The reservoir for the new supply is on Mangere Mountain, and the pumphouse is nearby. The new service came into operation in November last, but it was not until recently that the whole scheme was completed. The cost of the scheme was approximately £45,000.
