"BUCKLING" FOR M.P'S.
MJP's are to have a new fish dish at tlie House of Commons. It is "buckling," which is smoked herring cooked during the process of smoking. "In Germany," a fishery official says, "it is popular. The great advantage of it is that housewives art not bothered with the cooking of the fish; it can be eaten either cold or warmed up. There has long been an objection among many housewives to the smell when bloaters are being cooked."
