CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS.

MRS. THOMSON THE VICTOR.

The final of the annual champion of champions tournament of the Auckland Croquet Association was played on the Carlton lawns yesterday and was won by Mrs. Thomson, who defeated Miss Keatley. Buttons competitions matches resulted li Grade. —Mrs. Gardner beat Mrs. Petehell, Mrs. Brooks beat Mrs. Jones. Mrs. Herd beat Mrs. McKay, Mrs. Roberts beat Mrs. Gardiner. „ ~, C Grade.—Mrs. Isbistcr beat Mrs. Gelding and Mrs. Brown. At the conclusion of yesterday's play Mrs. R. J. Hamilton, president of the Auckland Association, presented the gold badge to Mrs. Thomson and also the shield won by the Otahuliu Club for the B grade inter-club competition to Mrs. J. E. Gillies.
