AUCKLAND LADIES WIN.

WELLINGTON, this day.

The most successful foursome _ tournament which the New Zealand Ladies Golf Union has yet conducted concluded at Heretaunga yesterday in a victory for Miss Culling and Miss Kathbone, of Auckland, who won the cups presented by Mrs. Guy Williams, of Masterton. In the final the winners met Miss Chrystall, of Christchurch, and Miss Barton, of Wellington, and gained the day at the seventeenth hole after an exciting struggle. The results were:— Semi-finals. —Miss Culling and Miss Rathbone (receive 2) beat Mrs. D. Wilson and Mrs. Foreman, 5 and 4 ; Miss Chrystall and Miss Barton beat Mrs. Banks and Mrs. Richmond, 5 and 3. Final.—Miss Culling and Miss Rathbone beat Miss Chrystall and Miss Barton, 2 and 1.
