CONTINENTAL DUTIES. An' increase in the duties imposed bysome European countries on the importation of honey is notified by the London representative of the New Zealand Honey Export Control Board. He states the de-! clare'd intention of the present Govern-' m6nt in Germany is to shut out foreign goods, and in particular to make the country self-supporting as far as foodstuffs i were concerned. The duty on honey had been increased, and there was a turnover I tax of 2 per cent. The Belgian duties also had been raised and there was now a surtax on honey of 15 per cent. i
