A HEALTHY MARKET.

BREWERY SHARES FIRM

A healthy tone continues on the Auckland Stock Exchange, and there have been a fair number of sales over the last 24 hours, with values well maintained. The breweries section is-firm, and New Zealands advanced still further, with a. sale at £1 9/3, and more wanted at that figure. Gas shares, too, are in demand, and £1 1/9 was offered this morning for Aucklands, with no holder quoting. The increase in metal prices brought in a buyer for Kuala Kampars at 5/3. Renown Collisry shares were available at 2/6 for the ordinary and 1/ for the preference. The Noon Call. At the noon call 4 per cent Government braids were offered at £100 10/. South British Insurances had their first sale since the interim dividend was paid, and at £3 3/8 were virtually unchanged.
