SERVICE AT MEMORIAL.

Glen Eden Town Board and the Western Suburbs R.S.A: A procession, unto"the direction of Mr. R. W. Wise, of the Western Suburbs R-S.A., was formed in the school pounds and was led by the Ponsonby Salvation Band and comprised units of the Glen Eden Boy Scouts, New Lynn Boys' Brigade; wreath bearers and the Western Suburbs R.S.A. At the Soldiers' Monument a service was conducted by. Mr A. J. RouUey, chairman of the Glen Eden Town Board. Representatives of the Navy League, Victoria League, Glen Eden Town Board Soldiers' Mothers' League and the Women's National Reserve were also present on the platform tWIS V. Binet, of the Glen Eden Methodist Church, read the lesson, and the address was given by Mr. J. W Shaw, who stressed the importance of keeping green the memory of the men who gave,their lives for our liberty as a spur to our own efforts to save the country from the present depression. The National Anthem and the hymns "0 God Our Help nnd "Abide With Me" were sung, and the service concluded with the V^ st Post" and the "Dead March." Many ■wreaths were laid on th e> monument from local and city associations.
