PROBATION ABUSED.
"Persons who disregard the terms of their release ou probation must realise that they can be dealt with on the original charge," said Mr. W. R. McKean, S.M., in the Police Court to-day, when he sentenced Jurgau Andrew Windell, aged 38, ship's fireman, to two months' imprisonment. Windell pleaded guilty to a charge of failing to comply with the terms and conditions of his release on probation. Mr. W. J. Campbell, probation officer, said Windell had been admitted to probation for 12 months at Napier in June of 1931. He had not made restitution in full and had nob reported regularly.
