ARRIVALS EROM AUSTRALIA,

Several New Zealand jockeys and racehorse owners arrived in Auckland by the AVanganella from Sydney this morning. Among them were Mr. A. D. Webster, of Wellington, the well-known New Zealand trainer, who recently took First Acre, Bavaere and other horses to Sydney; Mr.'W. Higgins, of Wellington, and Messrs. Smith Brothers, of Taranaki, former owners of Gaine Carrington, and owners of Peter Jackson. Ashley Reed, the ex-New Zealand jockey, brother of Roy Reed, who has been riding in Victoria and Sydney for tho past eight years, returned on a holiday visit. "The game is flourishing over there," he said. "It's good enough for me to go back." The Southern cross-country rider, Alan McDonald, who took Inflation to Sydney for the A.J.C. meeting, also came home. I
