HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE.

Auckland will this week say farewell to one of the most popular artists who have ever visited the country—-Miss Ella Shields, who will give, her final New Zealand performance at His Majesty's Theatre on Friday night. She will be seen with' the company which hasprov'ed so popular during the course of its ■ two lengthy stays here, and will sing her bestknown songs as well as.several new ones. George Wallace and the remainder' of the fine company which Frank Neil assembled for the vaudeville-revue tour, which is now nearing its end, will continue to appear at His Majesty's for one further show, "Hello, Prosperity." Following that, the theatre.will be used for a glamorous and lavish pantomime, "Cinderella," with Josie Melville in the leading part. To return to "The Whirl of the World," as the current revue is entitled, two shows are.given daily, the programme being presented in a rather novel manner, this being the result of a pantomimic story running through the second half.'All the features which have previously, attracted such crowds are included —the five "Cleveres," the four "Diabolos," Cliff O'Keefe and his "Big Four," Murray and Walton, Jack Spooner's Savoy Band, and the popular beauty ballet trained by Maurice Diamond.
