CRUISER TO RESCUE.
FIRE IN SUVA COPRA CARGO. (Received 12 noon.) GIBRALTAR, April 18. In response to a wireless appeal from the copra-laden steamer Benholm from Suva, which had a fire in the after ho'd shelter deck, the cruiser Leander transferred a smoke-h(?lmeted party to the ship, which she escorted to Calaburra, where salvaging is in progress.
