UNIVERSITY GRADUATES.

TENABLE IN BRISTOL.

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Thursday. • The announcement of a new scholarship, to be known as the Hiatt Baker Scholarship for graduates, of the University of New Zealand, was made to-day by Dr. Hight, rector of Canterbury College. The scholarship, which has been endowed by Mr. Hiatt Baker, in memory of his son, killed in the Napier earthquake, is of. the value of £200 a year, tenable for two years. It may be extended for a third year. Election to scholarship will be made by the Vice-Chancellor of Bristol University, England, where scholars are expected to continue their studies in one of the subjects for which their degrees have been awarded.
