ON 'CHANGE.
FLUCTUATIONS IN SHARES.
BUSINESS IS FAIR. There were changes in the position of Government stocks at this morning's call of the Auckland Stock Exchange. Buyers for 3%'s dropped out temporarily. Four, per cents were again in demand at £99, and sellers came in for various dates at £100.
Insurance and brewery sections were firm, with very few sellers.
Bank shares were steady. New Zealands were asked for at £2 4/9, but there were no sellers. Waihis were asked for at £1 2/, with holders asking 6d above that figure. The Noon Call. Bidding was rather quiet at the noon c m 11, and few price alterations were noted. Shares in. Hume Pipe (Australia) were asked for, with a buyer at 9/.
