EASTER HOLIDAYS.
SHOPPING NIGHT THURSDAY.
BUTCHEES AND BAKERS.
Owing to the Easter holidays, Thursday evening will be observed as the late shopping night in the city and suburbs. Most shops will be clofad from Thursday evening until Tuesday morning, but bakers and butchers be open on Saturday morning, when the usual deliveries' will be made. Dairies and shops selling tobacco will be closed on Friday, but most of them will be open on Saturday and Monday.
Business on the Stock Exchange will be closed from noon on Thursday until Monday, April 24. Banks and insurance offices will close on Thursday afternoon and will reopen on the following Wednesday."
■ The Easter holidays prescribed by the Auckland Law Society are from Thursday until Monday, April 24. As Tuesday, April 25, is Anzac Day, JioweveT, it is likely that a number of the legal offices ■will extend their Easter vacation until Wednesday, April 26.
