WORKLESS AT HOME.
SLOWER INCREASE NOTED. (British Official Wireless.) (Received 9.30 a.m.) RUGBY, April 9. The annual report of the Ministry of Labour shows that the Volume of unemployment in Britain moved between relatively narrow limits last year compared with the three preceding years. The high and low monthly percentages were respectively 20.8 and 22.9. There was a very considerable slowing down of the growth of unemployment. The report notes a marked change in the direction of the expansion of indus-' tries concerned mainly with the home market and distribution services. Employment exchanges were responsible for placing in employment 1,855,841 persons last year.
