ST. JOHN AMBULANCE.
CONTESTS AT EASTER.
The St. John Ambulance annual firstaid competitions will be held at the Domain on Easter Saturday, and entries from as far south as Dunedin have been received. There will be for both men's and women's organisations, and the teams in the main contests will each consist of four representatives. Twelve teams have been entered for the Gaze challenge cup, which is given for treatment and stretcher work. Four of the teams-are drawn, from Auckland, two from Onehunga and one from Otahuhu. For the international challenge cup, which is decided on team stretcher work, nine entries have been received. This contest also includes individual first-aid and a home nursing test. There will also be nine teams competing in the Whangarei efficiency cup, while for the Auckland ambulance cup, for ambulance and nursing divisions, there will be 12 competitors. The A. F. Grade memorial cup is a test for treatment of patients in a mine shaft, and seven branches have entered for this contest. Four women's nursing divisions will compete for the Horsley cup, the SmithHathaway rose bowl and the Nurse Saunders-Jones cup. Four boy cadet units will compete for the Baillie challenge cup.
