tATJWRI. The fifth annual ball of the Orini Girls' Club was held in the Orini Hall on Thursday evening, the building being gaily decorated with greenery and the club's colours, blue, red and gold. Burke and her daughter, Miss Patriela Burke, are at Lake Rotoiti, where they will spend the Easter holidays. Mrs. F. B. Barker and her daughter, Miss Audrey Barker, are the guests of Mrs. C. K. Williams, Ruatoria. Mrs. T. Terry, Riverside Road, has returned from a holiday visit to Auckland. Mrs. F. Wrey Nolan and her two daughters, Miss Pamela Price and Miss Penelope Nolan, who are visiting Wellington, intend to spend a holiday in Christchurch before returning to Gisr borne. The Rev. W. J. Elliot and Mrs. Elliot have left to take up their residence

in Auckland. Mr. and Mrs. P* F» Barker,Glenroy, are holidaying at Lake Rotoiti; Mr. and Mrs. Seton Wenley, Mar&ekakoho, Hawke's Bay, who have been on a holiday in Auckland and the Bay of Plenty, are now visiting the East Coastr where they are the guests of Mr. and: Mrs. J. T. T. Bush, Tikitikl Mm. Li Nicholls and family are visiting Danne-; virke. Miss Every Barker is the guest of' Mrs. R. U. Burke, at Lake Rotoiti.' Miss P.
