BANKER INDICTED.
False Entries in Company's Books. FOURTEEN CHARGES MADE. (Received 11.30 a.m.) NEW YOKE, April 6. Joseph W. Harriman, former head of the Harriman National Bank and Trust Company, was indicted to-day by a Federal grand jury on charges of making, or causing to be made, 14 false entries on the books of the bank. Harriman had previously been arrested on a Federal warrant charging him with Eimilar offences. The bank did not open after the compulsory "holiday," and is being placed in the hands of the conservator.
