MINISTER'S RESIGNATION.

TWELVE YEARS AT TIMABTJ. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) TIMARU, this day. The Rev. P.' Gladstone Hughes, who has practically completed twelve years' ministry at Chalmers Presbyterian Church, Timaru, last evening placed his resignation in the hands of the session, as he intends returning te the Homeland.

Members of the session expressed appreciation of the great services Mr. Hughes had rendered, and learnt with regret that he could not be induced to reconsider the position.
