LOST HIS TEMPER.

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CrIRISTCHTJRCH, Thursday. For threatening H. G. Ell, ex-M.P., who was in charge of the work on Summit Road, James. Dowdall to-day was convicted and discharged. He was fined £2 for using indecent language. The police alleged that Dowdall, who formerly was employed on the hills, said he would break Mr. Ell's neck. A dispute had occurred over the ownership of a barrow. Dowdall admitted that he lost his temper.
