PETER PAN.
The Peter Tan Cabaret was very gay and vivacious last night, when a very succcssful dance and farewell evening was given by the ship's company of the Diomede. There was a large attendance, and our naval friends did everything in their power to make things bright and cheery to the friends they had made during their stay in Auckland. Mies Margaret O'Connor gave three exhibition dances, assisted by Mr. E. Priestley, which were greatly appreciated, and the sailors' hornpipe was executed by a little girl, and was much applauded. Among those present were: Mrs. Burges Watson, wearing black marocain, with, white pointings; Mrs. E. Berthon, buff lace frock and wrap; Mrs.' H. Vicary, shell pink georgette; Mrs. E. H. Jolley, white satin; Mrs. A. W. Clarke, black lace; Mrs. J. Long, red Venetian ' lace; Mrs. H. Taylor, Dorothy Perkins satin; Mrs. E. Boyd, cyclamen taffeta; Mrs. S. Lonigan, olive .'green crepe de chine; Mrs. W. Worters, powder blue satin; Miss.Mary Burges Watson,, pale green georgette; Miss M. Thompson, black velvet; Miss E. Green, dream blue georgette, trimmed with sequins; Miss T. Dengate, black marocain; Miss J. Bower, duchess blue ninon; Miss M. McLeish, salmon pink satin; Miss Jean Wilson, «shell pink georgette, Miss R. Smith, tomato red crepe; Miss NY. Gear, white ninon; Miss Yearbury, wine net; Miss B. Watson, navy blue organdie; Miss Marjorie Hoare, jewelled satin; Miss N. Page, salmon pink frilled taffeta;' Miss Boyd, ivory lace and scarlet trimming; Miss F. Barker, black lace netting; Miss P.
