But Strong Feeling Continues in
Germany.
BRITISHERS ARRESTED. | ("Times" Cables.) (Received 9.30 a. A.) LONDON, April 4. The Berlin correspondent of "The Times" reports that nearly every ti'ace of the boycott of Jews has disappeared. . Anti-Semitism, however, is-unabated, and the wholesale dismissal of Jews continues. The Nazis are attempting to "Christianise" the Bourse by forcing Jews to resign. The German Boxing Association has prohibited Jews from taking part in bouts and has cancelled Jewish , managers' contracts. Also it has suspended a foreign manager. ' The Nazis arrested a journalist, Geoffrey Fraser, a Britis]} subject, and an alleged Communist, in bed and conveyed liim to an unknown destination. The police also gaoled a Britisher, T. C. Catchpole, International Secretary of the Society of Friends. - The British Embassy is investigating the cases. Police and Nazis systematically combed the Ghetto section of Berlin in search of arms. A synagogue service was not molested, but. the worshippers were afterwards searched, those without their identification papers being bundled into lorries and taken to police stations. A few weapons were found. It has been officially ordered that the boycott of the Jews will not be resumed to-morrow. A Warsaw dispatch states that the executive of the Polish Jewish Unions is appealing to the League of Nations 'to intervene with regard to German persecution. Fifty Gentile members of Parliament, representing all parties, are petitioning Parliament, seeking representations in connection with anti-Semitism in Germany.- They are endeavouring to secure a day's debate. Jewish members of Parliament at a meeting decided to approach the Government.
