BANNED MEETING.
DEFIANCE IN CALCUTTA. CALCUTTA, March SO. The Government having banned the annual meeting of the All-India Congress to-morrow iu Calcutta, sixty prominent members of s,ho Congress were arrested this morning. The authorities have ordered the corporation to keep all the public parks and squares closed from to-night until Sunday. It is expected that there will be an attempt to hold the"meeting in spite of the ban.
