CHALLENGE RACE IN V CLASS.

SURPRISE V. ALL COMERS. ■ Mr. Jack Morgan, owner of the V class boat Surprise, and incidentally commodore of the Otahuhu Sailing Club, is very keen on a race, as he is of the opinion he has a world beater in Surprise. Being loyal to his own club by starting in all its races, be seldom gets the opportunity of meeting the Auckland cracks. . In a friendly spirit and purely for the sport of racing he now challenges the owners of Mystic, Paroro, Marianne and any others who care to race to a friendly "go" next Sunday morning, starting off Kohimarama wharf about 10 o'clock. The course he suggests is from Kohi, round Bastion, round white light, finishing off Buckland's beach wharf. Mystic's crew are quite willing to take Surprise on, and no doubt the others will be. "Speedwell" will be on hand to start the boats if they turn up.
