NORTHCOTE BOROUGH.
The Xorthcote Borough Council met last evening. The Mayor, Mr. R. Martin, presided. Harbour Bridge.—The Prime Minister wrote that he was arranging to have careful consideration given to the representations for an investigation into the prospects of the harbour bridge. North Shore Sewerage.—The Takapuna Borough Council advised that it had convened a meeting of all local bodies concerned in the suggested comprehensive sewerage scheme for the North Shore districts, requesting the appointment of delegates, and intimating that the medical officer of health, and the engineer to the Auckland and Suburban Drainage Board had also been invited. It was decided not to be represented. Land Board Election.—Mr. Vivian Trounson. of Maropiu, is to receive tb.2 council's vote in the Land Board election on April 20. Water Supply.—A letter was read inquiring if the council would take a supplv of water from the Devonport pumping station when the recommendations of the experts engaged by the Water Board to investigate the taste and odours of Lake Pupuke water, had ben put into operation. . Decision was deferred.
