CRUSH DANCING.
Will the name "crush" have a psychological significance? An exchange explains that it suggests crowded ballrooms which should, appeal to the hem instinct. If such is the case, the inevitable result will be that cabaret managers will smile again. Crush dancing is not a new dance, but a new way of doing trot and quickstep. The tempo is not ae fast as the quickstep, and the steps are shortened in order to fit in with the "crush" idea. Demonstrations of thie new dance vogue were given recently at some of the Victorian cabarets. Crush dancing was the outcome of a discussion at a big meeting of the Imperial Society in London last year.
