SUGAR PRICES ADVANCE.

An increase or 10/ a ton in the wholesale price of sugar, to take effect from to-day, is announced by the Colonial Sugar Refining Company, Ltd. The new prices are as follows: — Brewers' crystals, £28 10/ a ton; No. 1 coarse grain, £27 15/ : No. 1A fine grain, £27; No. 2 soft, £26 10/; No. 3 yellow ration, £25 10/; castor sugar, £1 10/3 per cwt; invert sugar, £25. Advances have also been made in the price of golden I syrup and treacle, but tablets and icing sugar are unchanged. The rise is clue to an upward movement of prices in the world's markets.
