BAY OF PLENTY.

I : THE ANNUAL FIXTURE. PROGRAMME FOR TO-MORROW. i i THE FIELDS REVIEWED. The annual meeting of the Bay of Plenty Jockey Club will be held at' Tauranga tomorrow, and, with every prospect of the ;weather being fine, some excellent racing should be witnessed. The win and place fcetting system will be in operation and ehould assist materially towards making the meeting a successful one. The following is a brief review of the fields:— Trial Plate. • The meeting will open with the Trial Plate, for which twelve horses have been paid up, though few of them have any form to their credit. Chateau was placed oil two occasions last season, while Try Luck is reputed to be speedy, and both should run well. Silver Division irnd ißrown Abbey also appeal. Most support ehould come for CHATEAU TRY LUCK • SILVER DIVISION. Brown Memorial Handicap. There are 20 acceptors in the Alf. Brown Memorial Handicap, but a number of them figure in later events on the programme and the field is likely to be reduced. Several smart hacks are engaged and betting is likely to take, a wide range. Gay Broney is sure to be in demand, if started, while Chief Lap, Mustang and Kahau will also have plenty of friends. Others likely to get support are Lapstone. Instalment, Intaglio, British Columbia and On Approval. In the absence of Gay Broney the favourites may be CHIEF LAP KAHAU. ' INSTALMENT. The Cup. Alloy heads the list in the Tauranga Cup, and on past form whatever beats him ehould win, for he is now at the top of his form and rarely runs a bad race. Psychologist has been galloping well at Ellerslie, and in his present condition should run out a solid ten furlongs. Grand Talk ran two good races at Paeroa and is sure to put up a bold showing under her lightimpost. Of the others Baroscope and Lady Lulu may prove most troublesome. The favourite selections should be ALLOY PSYCHOLOGIST *. GRAND TALK. The Herrles Memorial. Several improving hacks are engaged in the Herries Memorial Hack Cup, and on Paeroa form Dark Marble and Gay Broney appeal most. Gigantic, who ran third to Lady Lulu and Valpai in a mile race at Rotorua, will also have to be reckoned ■with.- Others likely. to effect. a surprise are Sandy Dix, Intaglio and Transaction. The r bulk of the money may come" for DARK MARBLE GAY BRONEY GIGANTIC. The Sprint Event. Several speedy gallopers are engaged tin the Flying Handicap, the chief sprint event oil the programme, and if reserved for this race Gold Day should run prominently. Tradesman, King Ford and Baroscope will also have to be considered. Rose Lupin and. Instalment should also be in the running. The chief fancies may be GOLD DAY TRADESMAN . KING FORD. . ' The President's. Welcome Boy, the top-weight in the President's Handicap, has no recent form to" commend him and Mahkill should account for him , to-morrow. British Columbia, Valreina and Chief Lap also appeal, especially, the two lastnamed, who are sure to be in the money. Great Britain, i Foul wind, Kahau and Booklaw are also possibilities. The public may prefer CHIEF LAP ' " :■ VALREINA ■■■> : MAHKILL. - . County Stakes. The' field paid up for in the County Stakes is very moderate, and Chateau, Grantham and Try Luck may get most support. Creina's King and Blaek ■ Jacket read best of the remainder. Most support may come for * CHATEAU GRANTHAM TRY LUCK. Greerton Handicap. The whple of the acceptors in the Greerton Handicap claim other engagements and. it is a difficult race to sum-up.
