CONTROL TRANSPORT.
N.S.W. CABINET'S ACTION. SYDNEY, February 17. The Premier of New South Wales, Mr. B. S. Stevens, announces that his Government intends to create a Public Utilities Corporation to control the tramways and bus services. Later if it is satisfied private capital is available for the conduct of these services it will be prepared to dispose of them subject to certain safeguards as to fares and freights. For the present the corporation will act in an advisory capacity to the existing Transport Commission.
