TENNIS TEST.
TEAM TO PLAY U.S^A.
No Aucklander Included for First Match. (By Telegraph.—Special'to "Star.") WELLINGTON- thie day. The New Zealand representative lawn tennis team to meet the Americans in the first Test match at Wellington on Wednesday next was announced by the selectors to-day. Its members are:— E. D. Andrews (England), present national singles champion. C. E. Malfroy (Wellington). C. Angas (Canterbury). D. G. France (Wellington). The order of the third and fourth men is yet undetermined, and will be arrived at only after the selectors witness special practice matches to be held in Wellington on Monday and Tuesday next. The pairing in the doubles will also depend upon how the players combine in these matches. N. R. C. Wilson (Wellington) has been called in to take part in these trials, and may possibly be included as a doubles player if his form warrants it. The team for the Auckland Test, on February 11, will not be announced until after Wednesday's match.
