Miss Frances Perkins, of New York, may become America's first woman Cabinet Minister. She is regarded as Mr. Roosevelt's probable choica as Secretary of Labour, *nd her appointment will form a parallel with Miss Margaret Bondfield, who was Britain's Minister of Labour from 1929 to 1931, and the first woman member- of the British Cabinet.
