STRANGE COINCIDENCE.

TWO SERGEANTS SHOT. \ CALCUTTA, January 26. Two British police-sergeants, Baker and Adam's, who are in adjacent beds at Calcutta Hospital, were involved in a remarkable coincidence. Both were wounded accidentally, by revolver bullets, in almost similar circumstances.

Since the terrorist outrages police wear their revolver-holsters open, in case of emergency. Sergeant Baker bent down to remove a large stone from a roadway; his revolver fell out of the holster. The impact caused the weapon to explode, and a bullet entered his chest.

Sergeant Adams knelt down to tic up his bootlace at police headquarters, when his revolver fell on to the floor from his open holster. The weapon exploded and the bullet went through his thigh.
