TORRENTIAL RAIN.
Damage Caused But Farmers Find Relief. CLOUDBURST FLOOD. (Received 10 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. Torrential rains, said to be the worst for 30 years, fell on Sunday night in the Kyogle and Inverell districts and caused many washouts on the road with dislocations of traffic. Thunderstorms continued throughout yesterday, A cloudburst at Inverell flooded the lower parts of the town.
Heavy rains in Central and West Queensland, and scattered falls in the southern districts, brought joy to farmers, who are now assured of good feed for the winter.
On Darling Downs rain caused damage to Elphinstone bridge,-tempor-arily interrupting railway traffic.
