AGAINST PARTITION.

SIAMESE TWINS ARE HAPPY.

LONDON, January 26.

"Inseparable in body, but independent in mind," describes the English Siamese twins, the Hilton Sisters, musicians and dancers, who are appearinf on the music halls. Violet likes an occasional drink, but does not smoke, while Daisy smokes all day, but . never drinks. The latter is serious-minded, and likes thoughtful people, whereas Violet is impulsive and prefers gayer company. Violet says: "We realised the situation after our only quarrel, which occurred in our childhood. We then decided to live amicably, and give way alternately and have our own friends. Once we were keen on two boys—one in Los Angeles and the other in San Francisco —-and accordingly halved a week s koliday and met both. Daisy is engaged to a Chicago musician. He is not my type, but lam not jealous. I hope to marry some day." Neither is desirous of partition. Violet says it would be too great a change after a quarter of a century. | "We are quite happy as we are,' dei clares Daisy.
