DEBATE IN HOUSE.

BANKS INDEMNITY BILL.

MR. STEWART SPEAKS TO-NIGHT.

(By Telegraph.—Parliamentary Reporter.)

WELLINGTON, this day.

The speech of Mr. Downie Stewart will supply the main interest in the Banks Indemnity (Exchange) Bill debate, which is being continued in the House to-day.

The ex-Minister will probably speak to-night and •will be confined to a statement of the economic position and his reasons for his opposition to high exchange. It is practically certain that he will not indulge in recriminations. Mr. Forbes will probably follow Mr. Stewart.
