The Hon. Dr. E. W. H. Fowles, M.L.C.. of Sydney,^are at present in Auckland at the Station Hotel.
Mr. R. P. Angus, chief mechanical engineer, New Zealand Railways, arrived by the Limited express this morning-on an inspectional visit. ' • < ■
Mr. . C. Cutt'en, S.M., left",for the South by the Limited express last evening on official business, and-will be back in about a week. ' <*■> ■
. Mr. G. H. Mackley, acting-general manager of railways, left by the Limited express last evening. He has been in Auckland on a brief visit.
Captain F. Bauer, Vice-Consul for the Netherlands, Mrs. Bauer and their two sons have returned to Auckland after an extensive motor tour of the North Island.
Mr. S. W. M. Stilling, representative in New Zealand for the Australian National Travel Association,. arrived from Sydney by the Monowai yesterday, and is at the Grand Hotel. He leaves for Wellington this .evening.
Mr. F. W. Mothes, managing director of the Goldberg Advertising Agency, Limited, returned by the Monowai yesterday after a business- visit to Australia, and he leaves for Wellington this evening. He is at the Grand Hotel.
Mr. W. H. Beattie, of Takapiiria, accompanied by his wife and child, left for Australia on a month's holiday by the Aorangi yesterday. Ho is going to see the remainder of the English cricket matches in the Commonwealth.
