WHANGAREI NOTES.
Mrs. W. Younger has been visiting Auckland. The Rev. H. T. Steele, Mrs. ■Steele and family are spending a holiday at Urquliart's Bay. Mrs. Griffiths, who has been the guest of her daughter, Mrs. JT. E. Crump, for the past fortnight, left on Thursday for her home, Castlebar Hotel, Auckland. Miss Joy Christie has returned home after spending six months in the Ilot or nil district. Mrs. Long, Apirana Avenue, returned oil Tuesday after spending a vacation at Auckland and Wailieke.
There was a large gathering at the railway station on Monday to farewell Mrs. A\ M. McLeod, who was leaving for Auckland, en route to Ngatea, where she is to make her home with her daughter, Mrs. E. Costello. . ■ Mrs. G. Harvey, of Coromandel, who has been the guest of Mrs. McLeod and Mrs. Reyburn for the past two months, returned to her home on Monday last. Miss Nancy Arvidson and Master Norman Arvidson, of Waiuku, are visiting their grandmother, Mrs. Mary Hutchings, of Armstrong Avenue.
