WOMAN DROWNED.
FATALITY AT PIHA.
BODY RECOVERED. A drowning fatality is reported from Piha. A woman of about 45 years of age and supposed to belong to Birkenhead went in for a bathe at about 2 o'clock this afternoon and was drowned. The body has been recovered, and the police officer in charge of the Henderson station is on his way out to the scene. At the time of going to press the name of the woman was not known.
